The right to Bear-Arms

Since our baroness didn’t receive her AoA scroll back when, we decided to remedy that. Aoife painted and penned a new scroll, but as we are mere peons, and don’t have the qualifications to grant her arms in the East Kingdom, we instead bestowed upon her the first of our illustrious joint House Three Sheets/Bear Cult awards: the Right to Bear-Arms.

This is a truly beautiful scroll, and I am sad that the East Kingdom Signet Office wasn’t made aware of the missing Award of Arms scroll (not a Grant of Arms, which is a different award altogether). Hopefully it’s not too late to rectify this!

Aoife (and any other scribes involved in this who aren’t already in the EK College of Scribes), could you please contact us at signet@eastkingdom.org? I may be leaving office as Tyger Clerk of the Signet in a few weeks, but the East Kingdom College of Scribes would certainly love to see your talent there, and the staff (incoming and outgoing) can certainly help teach you in the customs behind and creation of Kingdom award scrolls, if you’d like to join us.

Also, “mere peons” nothing. The calligraphy on this piece is outstanding, including the signatures, and the illumination is stunning.

Seriously, we’d love to have you all on board. Please contact us!

Tyger Clerk of the Signet (until 12th Night)
(Mistress Nest verch Tangwistel will be answering at signet@eastkingdom.org after January 17, 2015).
